HEALTH HAZARD INFORMATION:
Acute – Swallowed (Short term exposure):
Skin contact: Causes irritation seen as redness, itching and a burning sensation. Eye contact: Cause irritation seen as tearing and redness. Inhalation: Mist causes irritation seen as coughing and sneezing. May cause headache, dizziness, nausea and flu-like symptoms. Ingestion: May causes gastrointestinal irritation seen as nausea, vomiting and diarrhea.
Chronic (Long term exposure) :
Target organs: None known. There is no primary route of entry into the body. The primary route of exposure is skin and eye contact. Medical conditions aggravated by exposure are pre-existing respiratory and skin conditions such as asthma, emphysema, and dermatitis. No human chronic effects known.
First Aid
Inhalation:
Remove from the area to fresh air. Seek medical attention if respiratory irritation develops or if breathing becomes difficult.
Eye:
Immediately rinse the eyes with water. Remove any contact lenses and continue flushing for at least 15 minutes. Hold the eyelids apart to ensure. Rinsing of the entire surface of the eyes and lids with water.
Get medical attention if irritation persists.
Skin:
Wash affected area with large amounts of soap and water for 15 minutes. Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. Get medical attention if irritation persists. Wash clothing and clean shoes before reuse.
Ingestion:
Give 3 to 4 glasses of water, but do not induce vomiting. If vomiting occurs, give fluids again. Seek medical attention if discomfort occurs.
Notes to Physician:
It’s no specific antidote. Treat the patient symptomatically.
Swallowed:
Do not induce vomiting. Give large quantities of water. Seek medical help.
